Usually the north-east corner of the traditional Balinese house is more purified so that more holy places are placed

The Balinese custom house has sections that each have their own meaning and function:
1. Sanggah or Pamerajan. This section is a sacred place for families who live
2. Panginjeng Coral. This section is a place to worship that keeps the yard.
3. Bale Manten. This place is a family head bed, a girl and a place to store valuables. This section is also often used for newly married couples.
4. Bale Gede or Bale Adat. It is a place of life circle ceremony.
5. Bale Dauh. This place serves as a workplace, meeting and boy bed.
6. Paon. Namely a kitchen that is used as a place to cook
7. Barns. Is a staple food storage such as rice and other crops.
